The Hays County Food Bank happily accepts fresh produce, non-perishable food items and monetary donations. Donations must be unopened and have an intact label. Boxed or canned foods that are past the expiration date may be acceptable depending on the product. Baby food/formula and nutritional or diet drinks are not acceptable once they are out of date.

- Tuna, salmon, and other canned meats
- Canned vegetables and fruits
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Cereal and oatmeal
- Pasta and pasta sauce
- Rice and beans (preferred in 1-pound bags)
- Macaroni and cheese
- Jell-O (regular or sugar-free)
